ONLINE MERCHANDISER

Based out of ALDO’s Head-office in Montreal, the Online Merchandiser will be responsible for the execution of merchandising plans that drive business growth and profit across our own and operated European eCommerce markets (UK, Ireland, France, Germany and Italy).

  • Ensure proper execution and optimization of product content on-site to maximize on-site conversion
    • Oversee localized product hierarchy, site roadmap, layouts, sequencing, product mapping, navigation, landing pages / galleries for specific key phrases/terms/trends, on-site search optimization, site layout and site accuracy
    • Execute post-launch sequencing changes based upon customer behavior, selling information and inventory position
    • Gatekeeper for all product related content: Online attributes, product names, product images (including management of translation process)
    • Build product briefs to enable the Marketing & Design teams to execute on the product vision
    • Promotion set-up, including Web pricing and online exclusive promotions
    • Assist in QA and UAT and development teams in defining test strategy, acceptance criteria, bug fixing and issue resolution
  • Conduct ongoing analytics and performance measurement, and translate into strategic action plans
    • Build reports and conduct ongoing (weekly) analysis and reporting of performance KPIs, including sales performance, seasonal category performance, user behavior, site metrics
    • Review & analyze category/product results weekly
    • Recommend and execute in-season management and long term strategies to increase sales and site conversion based on analysis
    • Manage the troubleshooting process. Work with BI teams and technical teams to solve technical issues on-site
  • Contribute to and execute on Merchandising Strategy
    • Contribute to building quarterly & monthly eComm merchandising plans, designed to achieve our sales & GM targets
    • Provide Digital marketing team with appropriate merchandise selections and message direction for site, emails and external advertising digital placements
    • Work closely with the Buying & Product Development & Merchandising Analyst teams to understand the key seasonal trends, silhouettes and events, to ensure Omnichannel execution
    • Strategize merchandising stories/themes and major product initiatives
    • Create, execute and analyze category up-sell and cross-sell strategies to drive volume
    • Collaborate with planning and distribution teams to build sales and unit projections, conception plan, and quantification process

Job Requirements

    • 2-5 years retail experience at a head office in fashion the fashion industry
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Fashion or related fields
    • Online Merchandising and/or Buying and/or Planning experience in the fashion/retail industry
    • eCommerce / Web experience, required
    • Knowledge of Hybris platform
    • European Market experience in retail in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany or Italy
    • Strategic and analytical mindset with high levels of business acumen, strong knowledge of Excel
    • Extremely organized and process-oriented. Proven ability to prioritize, organize, manage time and multi-task with excellent attention to detail
    • Knowledge of Google Analytics
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, additional languages, an asset (French, German, Spanish, and/or Italian)
    • Strong work ethic, autonomous and flexible with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross functional teams

DATA SCIENTIST

As a Data Scientist within the Advanced Analytics function, you will support the growth of the Company by designing optimal experiments and deploying solutions at scale to internal clients and consumers all the while expanding our current analytical capabilities. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, have a strong desire to learn and apply data mining techniques to draft new strategies and opportunities within our dynamic organization.

  • Leverage the latest cloud technologies, existing and emerging statistical and machine learning techniques to identify data patterns and trends to solve business problems
  • Analyze large volumes of data either structured or unstructured (stores, products, etc.) and translate the needs into analytical requirements
  • Develop innovative solutions in a methodical manner to find opportunities for product, stores, clients, website and process optimization using machine learning or advanced analytics
  • Assist in the presentation of business insights to management using visualization technologies and data storytelling

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Analytics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics)
  • 2-4 years of hands-on work experience developing and applying predictive models and other advanced statistical approaches in a corporate or consulting environment
  • 1+ year(s) of recent hands-on experience working with analytical tools such as:
    • Data Manipulation: SQL, Hadoop, Spark
    • Statistical Analysis: Python, R, SPSS, Scala
    • BI/ETL: KNIME, SSIS, SAS, Data Stage, Talend
    • Data Visualization: Qlik, Matplotlib, GGPlot, Tableau, PowerBI
  • 1+ year(s) leveraging solutions in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure or Google)
  • Experience with at least 1 of the following core areas:
    • Deep Learning
    • Reinforcement Learning
    • Natural Language Processing
  • Demonstrated self-sufficiency with Python or R (or equivalent)

SALES & CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS

Job Requirements

JUNIOR FOOTWEAR DESIGNER

As a Junior Footwear Designer, you will be working with the design and product development teams to assist them in all aspects of the design process, from conception through to development.

  • Support Product development team with CADs and mockups as well as any in house design tasks
  • Partner with design team to execute seasonal design concepts from conception to prototype phase. This will include designing and creating technical specification packages
  • Research, gather and analyze trends for team meetings
  • Sourcing: Create sourcing packages for overseas vendors including materials/trims/hardware and details
