As an Account Manager based in our Manchester office, your primary focus will be to help your customer base of circa 150 independent vehicle retailers compete effectively in the marketplace. Every one of your customers will be different; differences will range from their size (from 5 car forecourts to customers with over 100), to their product portfolio, to their business objectives. Another huge difference will be their understanding of digital marketing. Acting as an Account Manager you will educate your customers on best practice techniques and will influence digital change in the automotive industry.
You will apply a consultative approach and will understand your customer’s objectives, challenges and future plans. Combining this knowledge with our real time insight tools and suite of innovative digital products you will deliver value to your customer base.
Apprenticeship – IT Operations Apprentice

This will include attending masterclasses, conferences, meet-ups, boot camps, one to one coaching and mentoring! We are quite a relaxed bunch so people tend to dress down, rather than wearing formal work clothes and we are based in some pretty swish offices in the heart of Manchester.
In this role you will be monitoring our internal and external applications, servers, database’s and network. Responding to system alerts, investigate and resolve the root cause of the failure. Producing daily application downtime statistics for management. Carrying out trend analysis on old alerts, actively identify and prevent potential incidents. You will use your communications skills to communicate effectively with people in other teams about issues identified with their applications. Once fully trained you will provide on-call support.
IT Support Technician
We’re looking for someone with desktop support experience, in particular you will need to have worked with Windows 10 and Mac OSX. You’ll be used to helping people face-to-face and you’ll be the one of the main points of contact for technical faults in our Manchester office. In order to be effective in your role you’ll need to be super organised and prioritise your workload whilst responding quickly to urgent requests. As you’ll be dealing with a wide range of people you’ll have the ability to translate technical conversations into simple terminology whilst displaying a positive attitude and taking an innovative approach to tasks. You’ll have experience of supporting equipment including Windows and Apple laptops, monitors, projectors, iPads and video conferencing (we use Polycom). At times, there will be a requirement to help at events and also work from our London office so we’re looking for someone with flexibility when required.
This role will work alongside our Trade Marketing Managers in creating compelling marketing material that promotes and supports our products to ensure we get the highest levels of engagement as well as delivering the best experience for customers using our products.
As the successful candidate, you will use your excellent communication and copywriting skills to translate often complex products and processes into clear communications delivered across multiple channels including in-product messaging, sales collateral, helpful contextual guides, email communications, social and more.
Whilst mainly providing product go to market/launch support and collateral, this role will support broader Trade Marketing with a range of requirements including promoting Auto Trader and our products and services to 13,000 diverse retail customers.
You will be a motivated organised team player with good time management and planning skills. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential, as this role will work with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers including email, creative and design agencies. You will also have good analytical skills, as a key part of this role will be monitoring customer engagement and reporting on performance.
