TV Ad Operations Executive

The TV Ad Operations Executive (Global) is responsible for supporting the fulfilment of advertising on the BBC World News channel. This role will ensure that efficient and effective support is in place to maximise revenues by through the execution of customer campaigns. Additionally, this role will help to establish and develop the necessary systems, processes, and business relationships associated with this objective. The position is based in London and will report to the TV Ad Operations Manager (EMEA) based in London.

Role Responsibility

  • Responsible for the efficient fulfilment of customer orders including the trafficking of campaigns including commercial copy broadcast on BBC World News.
  • Responsibility for creating and updating deals, campaigns, products, agencies, advertiser, and billing detail in the TV order management system (Landmark).
  • Delivery of completed and compliant spot schedules for transmission within agreed timescales.
  • Responsibility for monthly pre-invoice checks and amendments, to ensure all customers are invoiced correctly. Liaison with Finance to ensure customers invoices are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Responsibility for tracking any loss of revenue due to booking or copy errors and ensuring processes are in place and being adhered to in order to make good losses.
  • Provide support to TV Ad Operations team out of office hours from time to time to ensure smooth delivery of client campaigns.

Are you the right candidate?

  • Minimum of one (1) year’s experience of booking and trading commercial airtime and a good working knowledge of Airtime-Sales systems.

Finance Coordinator

Role Responsibility

The Finance Coordinator will support the Financial Operations Manager through administration of the timely payment of grants and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of income reporting.  This varied role involves working proactively on:

Assistant Media Scheduler

Role Responsibility

The Assistant Media Scheduler (Inventory) will be responsible for the detailed logging of promotional spots across all the BBC’s television channels.

You will build regular reports of how the BBC’s TV airtime has been scheduled and will also circulate daily updates of campaign progress to the wider team, flagging issues and liaising with schedulers to keep on target. Additionally, you will be responsible for the scheduling of content on the public-facing and department digital screens with promotional and informative content.

As an Assistant Media Scheduler (Inventory), you will support the Media Inventory Coordinator in the management of reactive and tactical issues to ensure a consistent approach with the promotional content of junctions.

The role will also require you to support the Media Data Analyst in using relevant digital analytics tools and supporting in the reporting of online activity as well as extracting, analysing and applying media research to provide cross-platform audience focus to Media Planning.

You will provide research data and analysis to support Media Planning to predict future audience levels, enabling optimal use of promotional airtime. You will also grow and develop skills by helping with ad hoc analyses and projects, and administrative duties where relevant.

Are you the right candidate?

As an Assistant Media Scheduler (Inventory), you will have experience of audience or market research, ideally gained within a media agency or broadcaster environment.

You will have experience of using industry databases, ideally TechEdge or similar BARB software, and the ability to produce reports from that information that are meaningful and engaging.

It is essential that you have experience of dealing with and analysing large data sets and also an informed interest in developments in audience research techniques and systems.

The Assistant Media Scheduler (Inventory) will have a great understanding of the theory behind a broadcast or advertising schedule and a demonstrable interest in and knowledge of television/radio/digital output and the BBC.

The ideal candidate will be highly analytical with experience of analysing detailed research data and writing reports with actionable insight. You will be highly numerate with strong attention to detail and excellent PC skills, especially extensive experience of spreadsheet analysis and creation, including Excel formulas and pivot tables.

This is a fast paced and exciting environment so the ideal candidate must have proven experience of excellent time management and an ability to work to tight deadlines.

You will also have the potential to learn quickly, adapt and be flexible to a variety of work, including the use of new systems and processes. The Assistant Media Scheduler (Inventory) will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be assertive and tactful, with a proactive approach and ability to work independently, without close supervision, and as part of a team.

Senior Project Manager

Role Responsibility

The senior project manager will work closely with product owners and business stakeholders to agree project objectives and ensure effective delivery of high quality commercialised digital products. They will manage multiple complex digital projects and be responsible for removing obstacles or blockers to progress and facilitate project meetings with the team where required.

The role will define objectives, plan resources and budgeting as well as track, co-ordinate and manage specific key strategic projects. Reporting on both a high level and at a more detailed level is required.

This position will need you to be comfortable managing multiple project teams (monitoring progress, managing risk and resource).
