Lead Developer

Provides application software development services or technical support in situations of moderate complexity. May also be responsible for requirements gathering and BRD/SRD preparation. Has thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. Conducts reviews of the test Plan and test Data. Writes new programs of moderate complexity and scope, working with basic application system designs and specifications, utilizing BNY Mellon’s standard development methodology, procedures and techniques. Principal Developer

Consults with internal business groups to provide high-level application software development services or technical support. Provides comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to IT management and senior technical staffs. Evaluates compliance with the organization’s technology standards. Works with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements of various applications. Analyzes information and provides recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group. Guides and consults with IT management and technical staffs regarding use of emerging technologies and associated services. Participates in defining corporate implementation and integration strategies of new technologies. Advocates for innovative, creative technology solutions. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.

Qualifications

Sr. Analyst

IC2 Responsible for, processing, monitoring, researching and analyzing transactions and resolving complex inquiries. Coordinates with multiple internal stakeholders and external clients to gather and disseminate data-related information about transactions. Conducts research to gather information on complex transactions and data-related, straightforward inquiries. Responsible for custodian bank reconciliations analysis (cash, asset and market value), break assignment and resolution of reconciliation breaks, daily portfolio valuation processes, account level pricing, net asset valuation calculations (NAV), monthly accounting close processes, cash projection reports, cash management support, monthly end-client statement workflow and validation and ad hoc reporting. Responsible for or facilitating the maintenance of trade static data, trade enrichment, and trade exception handling and market claims. Focus is on gaining experiences and developing Middle Office skills and expertise. Escalates the most complex transactions to senior team members. Provides guidance to less experienced team members. Collaborates with a group of internal and external stakeholders to deliver recommendations to complex inquiries. Regularly interacts with clients in providing consultation and resolving complex inquiries and transactions. No direct reports. Provides guidance to less experienced Middle Office staff as needed. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.

The Roles will Primarily involve the following duties

  • The timely and accurate preparation and calculation of all areas of Centralised Expense process: from the initial preparation of the budget to the final processing of payments and adjustments in accordance with BNY Mellon standard procedures.
  • Daily reconciliation of trades and cash positions, trade bookings & cash reporting.
  • Assistance in the completion of net asset values (NAVs) for client funds in accordance with BNY Mellon standard operating procedures
  • Preparation of cash and asset reconciliations and perform price tolerance checks
  • Understanding & reviewing the terms of all derivatives contracts in order to accurately record these products on internal Accounting Systems.
  • Monitoring the lifecycle of the derivatives & ensuring rates are updated, cash settlements are reconciled to Custody and positions are reconciled to the Counterparty
  • Trade execution and order management, trade confirmation processing, trade reconciliation and settlement, portfolio pricing, position and P&L valuation
  • Creation and delivery of daily standard client reporting with SAP Business Objects (German teams)
  • Reviewing and ensuring that all tax deliverables, operational and first tax quality assurance related tasks are performed in accordance with new laws and regulations
  • On-boarding of clients at BNY Mellon and ensuring the correct tax service and reporting is applied
  • Providing clear, complete and accurate answers to Money Transfer related queries with specific focus on root cause
