Job Description

BRIEF SUMMARY OF ROLE

We are looking for a results-driven sales representative to manage current accounts in the Industrial Segment and to actively seek out and engage prospect accounts. You will be responsible for contributing to top-line revenue while maintaining profitability.

Job Requirements

MAIN FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and implement a sales plan to achieve sales goals set by the company
  • Manage and grow sales at medium and large OEM accounts on a National Basis
  • Develop prospect accounts
  • Plan weekly travel itineraries with 3-5 sales calls per day
  • Build an appropriate prospect file and develop opportunities for new business
  • Maintain and effectively manage a pipeline report
  • Prepare monthly sales reports and present to management team including industry trends, competitive activities and the potential for new products and solutions
  • Build customer relationships with engineering, manufacturing and purchasing personnel
  • Develop technical selling skills
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum of 2-5 years B2B sales experience
  • Experience selling to large OEMs or the Appliance Industry a plus
  • Experience selling adhesives or gaskets a plus
  • Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working with little direction
  • Ability to effectively interact and network with various levels of an organization including purchasing, engineering and manufacturing personnel
  • Good project management skills
  • Willing to travel 50% to 60%
  • Technical aptitude
  • Strong critical/strategic thinking skills
  • Comfortable presenting to groups
  • Proficient personal computer skills including CRM system, electronic mail, record-keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
