CHEF/COOK

As the Chef you will lead the catering team to provide nutritious and enticing meals for the residents in our care. You will be responsible for ensuring mealtimes are an enjoyable part of the day, involving residents in preparing and developing menus.

*Prepare all meals within the home, paying consideration to special dietary requirements and individual request.
*Develop a positive relationship with all residents, staff and other visitors to the home by becoming an integral part of the team.

You’ll find our lovely home, Ashgrove Care Home, in the bustling city of Newry. We are situated nearby to local shops, public transport, and in easy reach of the A1, making us easily accessible for visitors to pop-in for a chat.

We are a specialist dementia care home, providing 24-hour care. Our Care team offers nursing care for people living with dementia.

Our spacious corridors are object-rich and colour coded, to help residents find their bearings. We have three private gardens available to residents, which are great places for residents and their loved ones to spend time together.
