Senior Digital Designer
To create highly creative, engaging, usable content and journeys for the Halfords digital estate. Manage on-site content and campaign creative and support the team in the delivery of both BAU and strategic content objectives. Champion brand consistency and help develop the look and feel of the creative output.
Key Responsibilities:
Create new digital content across a number of components from banners and tiles to entire pages, with a high level of accuracy, ensuring delivery is on brand, on time and to brief.
Assist with creating customer centred journeys within core ecommerce pages.
Be a Digital Ambassador, selling digital best practice to key business stakeholders.
Work with the SEO team to ensure that all content is fully optimized whilst maintaining creativity.
Build relations with UX/UI to help create a seamless journey within pages and larger end-to-end journeys on the site.
Support the Digital Content team in all stages of the design and development process, creating new assets, sourcing and retouching imagery, and helping with content uploads.
Support the E-Commerce team in the day-to-day content management of Halfords.com and Halfords.ie, ensuring content is accurate, fit for purpose and performs as expected.
Manage own daily workload, communicating any blockers to delivery in plenty of time to allow for action to be taken.
Ensure appropriate sign-off has been obtained for all work.

Support the Digital Optimisation function, creating engaging new content to aid with personalisation and testing
Generate ideas and sell them into other members of Digital
Front End Developer
Translate design prototypes into engaging, optimised digital content for use across Halfords’ websites and other digital channels, engaging key stakeholders throughout
Take creative assets from design and produce pages and change content within existing components.
Be a Digital Ambassador, selling digital best practice to key business stakeholders
Build strong relationships with key IT and Development functions to ensure that content is built to the highest standards, ensuring familiarity with our existing codebase to avoid on-site issues
Ensure all content conforms to industry best practice, is optimised for search and provides a first class user experience
Ensure appropriate sign off has been obtained for all work
Manage the content development roadmap, working closely with designers to ensure that all build work is carried out on time and to brief
Act as a QA for the team, performing daily checks on website content – identifying, highlighting and correcting issues as appropriate
Strategy & Development
Responsible for the production of design requirements for the testing and evaluation of new customer initiatives going through the Digital strategic test programme
Own the full project lifecycle – from brief and pitch to usability and build
Clearly communicate all stages of development work to concerned stakeholders at every level, ensuring any blockers to delivery are communicated in a timely manner
Manage the logging, and timely resolution of, any technical blockers or on-site issues through appropriate channels, ensuring that key stakeholders are kept informed of progress and suggesting potential work-arounds as appropriate

Research, forge and execute new exciting digital ideas working in liaison with / supporting the Digital Optimisation and Digital Conversation Rate Optimisation Managers
