Compliance Officer

We are recruiting for a Compliance Officer who is looking to advance their career as a quality and compliance expert, dedicating your time to maintaining and further developing a robust compliance control framework within Ipsos Healthcare UK.

The Role:

You’ll be reporting to the Global Compliance Officer and will be the first point of contact to provide specialist advice and support to colleagues, clients, suppliers and survey participants.  You’ll also work closely with our Business Excellence team, to support and contribute to the development of our market research compliance, quality and information security controls.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing operational support, advice and guidance as a compliance specialist
  • Maintaining compliance policies, procedures and processes
  • Conducting internal audits and other compliance reviews
  • Assisting in the completion of client compliance questionnaires and support for client audit site visits
  • Implementing corrective actions plans after audits
  • Responsible for the supplier approval process
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of Compliance Training Plans and material to ensure all employees are aware of and understand their compliance responsibilities
  • Maintaining records of data protection/privacy, security, adverse event and other compliance training completed by Ipsos Healthcare UK staff

About you:

We are looking for someone who has experience who has experience of working in a research environment, in healthcare, along with a reasonable understand of data protection and how its applied for market research programmes. It would be great if you have an understanding of industry codes of conduct – eg. MRS, EphMRA and BHBIA Codes, if not this is something, we can train you in, so you’ll need to be up to learning.

As you’ll be working with people at all levels across the business, you’ll need to have excellent communication skills (that you can adapt) and the ability to present technical information clearly and influence decision making.

Our  industry is rapidly changing, so you’ll be someone who is curious and keeps up to date and  informed about pending industry changes, trends, and compliance best practices. You’ll then have the commercial insight into assessing the potential impact of these changes on our processes.

Facilites Assistant

We’re looking for a Facilities Assistant Apprentice who takes pride in their excellent customer service skills to work as part of our small Facilities team, assisting with the smooth running of our office and providing general administrative support. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a professional and tidy office space, help with general maintenance, liaise with caterers, support the reception staff, and uphold our Health and Safety standards.  With a friendly and enthusiastic manner, you’ll enjoy liaising with a wide cross section of people, and spot ways to make things more efficient and organised.

Associate Director 

You’ll be working with, and leading a client account team, to ensure the client needs are met through successful delivery of high quality fieldwork, accurate and timely data, powerful insights and recommendations, and on-going project developments.

Working closely with clients to ensure you fully understand their business, motivations and the impact of your work.  Through building great relationships with clients you’ll use your knowledge to contribute towards winning new business and training existing clients.

Along with a Director, you will lead project teams here in the UK.  Part of your responsibility will include managing & motivating the project team to ensure efficient and profitable research execution alongside Line Management to help develop the junior members of the team. As this is a global account, you’ll work closely with our colleagues in Ipsos offices across the globe, including international fieldwork and client service teams.

You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in ad hoc projects, such as smaller tracking studies, or participation in wider initiatives across the business including Thought Leadership pieces or new product development -we encourage all our researchers to push and stretch themselves, to be the best they can be.

About you…

All of the work we do is about having an impact on our clients – helping them choose how better to spend their money and invest in their brands, media and advertising; so we are looking for someone who is genuinely passionateabout brands, comms and media and understands that this role is about providing amazing insight to our clients and inspiring those around you.

As a primary point of contact for the management of these accounts, you’ll need proven experience of meeting client’s needs, and solid research skills including survey design, questionnaire creation, project management data analysis and reporting and you’ll need to be confident in presenting insights to the clients.

You’ll need to be collaborative and an excellent team player displaying drive, energy and initiative to get things done.

This is a quantitative research position so we are looking for someone with proven experience in quantitative based market research, but there will be opportunity for involvement in qualitative work.

Financial Controller

This purpose of this role is to assist the Financial Controller to produce financial information for UK based companies in Ipsos MORI with a combined turnover of over £200m and with over 1,500 employees.

The role will be based at our offices near St Katherine’s Dock working within the wider Finance Team of 37.  This team supports all 88 countries that make up Ipsos MORI and will offer a great challenge to learn and be part of this global business.

What you’ll be doing…

This is an interesting and varied role including:

  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and Group reporting
  • Assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts for all UK companies
  • Controlling and reconciling balance sheet accounts including accruals and prepayments
  • Controlling the intercompany reconciliation process part of quarterly Group reporting
  • Liaising with auditors and assisting in the annual audit and bi-annual review
  • Providing information and analysis to the Financial Controller and other senior members of the finance team
  • Handling VAT queries and file quarterly VAT returns
  • Further adhoc duties
  • Providing assistance to internal clients on finance related issues

About you…

To be successful in this role you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Preferably qualified (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with sound experience in financial and management accounting
  • Experience of working in a commercial environment
  • High level of analytical skills
  • Advance level knowledge of excel (pivot table, sumif, vlookup, etc.)
  • Good communication skills and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines
  • High level of drive and initiative with a proactive, hands on approach
