Asset Delivery Site Supervisor

  • To assist the delivery manager in the role of supervisor under the ECC Style contract
  • Ensure the appropriate site inductions are carried out and recorded
  • Carry out regular start of shift and end of shift site briefings
  • Monitor contractors method statements and risk assessments and ensure that they are adhered to
  • Promote the introduction of innovation during the construction phase
  • Collect and collate all the necessary data for the measurements of the key performance indicators

Skills and experience required:

  • Extensive experience of working within the highways industry

  • Will require experience in street lighting
  • Be willing to work days and nights
  • Be able to work on a call out rota
  • Be able to work on a winter maintenance rota
  • Be able to work weekends/overtime when required
  • Full UK Driving licence covering C1 or C1+E

Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Kier Housing Maintenance  is looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who will report to the Senior Quantity Surveyor. The successful post-holder will be responsible for assisting the General Manager/Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial expertise by working within robust procedures to support the director and operational managers

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provided assistance as directed and as required:
  • To the commercial lead of the assigned project (or section) to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts
  • In providing robust cost management and visibility of cost expenditure, and challenge where appropriate
  • The management of day-to-day subcontracts and compile subcontracts orders
  • With budget monitoring, and providing contract/workstream performance data in regular timely manner
  • Of profit and loss accountability; and accurate cost value reconciliation
  • Maximising cash flow through the control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers
  • Liaising with the site teams and take the lead with contract administration, including record keeping.
  • Measure and assess the work undertaken
  • Work collaboratively with the Client
  • To assess and raise payment notices in line with legislation and contract conditions up to an including final account settlement
  • Implementing all of Kier Group’s policies including those for SHE and risk management
  • Promoting Kier Group’s values towards its customers in order to meet or exceed their expectations

Receptionist

Kier Workplace Services is looking to recruit a part time Receptionist working 25 hours per week working 08:00 – 13:00 & 13:00 – 18:00 to provide an effective, timely and customer friendly reception service within a large office complex, for our prestigious client Legal & General.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a central point of contact for all visitors to site between the hours of 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday
  • Administer to Visitor Parking
  • Administer to Meeting Room Requests
  • Assist FM team with setup / reconfigure meeting rooms in readiness for next working day
  • Provide contingency for times of absence, sickness, holiday etc
  • Integration with the site FM team for response to emergencies, Incident Management exercises, Fire Alarm activations / evacuations etc
