Analyst

Animal Pharm, part of the international FTSE100 Informa Group, has a new opportunity for an analyst to expand our animal health business. The analyst will be responsible for developing our market overview in the animal health sector and will provide the successful candidates with an opportunity to build a career in a major business-to-business publishing environment. The role would suit someone with an industry background in animal health, experience as a news analyst or journalist. We may also consider training a graduate who would wish to develop their career within animal health.

Animal Pharm is an established market-leading agribusiness information service and provides critical business intelligence for the animal health industry. Operating within a rapidly expanding industry, our services deliver authoritative, high quality news, analysis and market data, which is used by major global companies.

Animal Pharm analysts produce a range of articles on the corporate strategy, operational and financial status of animal health companies, as well as the key regional and product markets. The analyst will work closely with the Animal Pharm editorial team to develop knowledge of the workflows and contribute to the research and analysis activities.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop a deep understanding and ability to analyse current status and identify key trends in the animal health industry and write impactful analysis which gives our clients unique insight
Evaluate external data and Animal Pharm proprietary data to analyse and discuss implications on the animal health market
Network with clients, creating your own presence as an analyst in the industry.
Contribute to client support and consultancy projects
Interviews companies and build a network of contacts in the animal health sector
Represent Animal Pharm on social media and at international conferences

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Good knowledge of the animal health market or some industry experience of producing market analysis in a business intelligence (market, competitor Intelligence) or of journalism would be a strong advantage but we would also consider a graduate.
Comfortable working with commercial and technical data and able to condense and communicate information in a structured, interesting way
Able to present and discuss analysis and methodologies with clients
Strong secondary research skills and the ability to uncover unique insights
Excellent organizational skills including time management; the ability to plan and deliver products to meet deadlines
An ability to write with accuracy and precision and to translate research into coherent analysis
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Candidates must show both a desire and the ability to understand and meet clients’ needs rapidly, laying the foundations for long-term relationships that set us apart from our competitors.
Collaborative and team-oriented. Ability to work with Sales, Marketing, Public Relations and Press teams to use your industry knowledge to enhance awareness of products and services
Demonstrative social media skills
Additional language would be an advantage.
