Customer Account Manager

The primary purpose of the Customer Account Manager (CAM) position is to develop sustained business relationships with their customer and to drive profitable sales volume. The CAM is responsible for achieving volume goals while maintaining spending goals based on what brands and customers are trying to achieve according to their joint business plan. They maintain distribution shelving to promote equality with good return rates by managing plan-o-grams with the retail team. It is imperative that they have a working knowledge of the consumer cross functions

Main Responsibilities –

  • Owns and manages the customer relationship
  • Owns and manages the customer strategy and business plans
  • Develops the customer strategic business plan
  • Develops and owns the join business plan
  • Works in close collaboration with the Category and Insight team for the category input, and with customer marketing for the channel plan
  • Develops optimal integrated promo plan (incl. selling the plan @ the customer) and manage promo investments
  • Manages customer promo investment at his/her customer
  • Deliver the agreed plan, follow-up achievement of counterparts set in the agreement
  • Negotiation
  • Closes the deal with the Customer by negotiating the trade terms, trade funding, and counterparts according to the strategy
  • Manages overall levels of Customer Investments
  • Monitors Customer Performance by tracking customer contribution and market share

  • Ability to lead and co-ordinate multi-functional teams
  • Experience of setting up, developing and leading new teams
  • Understanding on formulation base interaction with flavour, stability, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills and previous experience of leading a program across multiple teams and locations with a demonstrable ability to represent our category in both internal and external leadership forums.
  • A working knowledge of qualitative, quantitative & sensory consumer research techniques.
  • Experience of translating consumer understanding into tangible business actions
  • Experience of Personal Care product development
  • An appreciation of applicable processes within Unilever and external regulations which apply to flavour and new product development (Supply Chain, safety, etc.).

Machine Operator

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the largest Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies worldwide, and become part of an enthusiastic and brand-driven team in the Gloucester Unilever factory.
The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe operation of production equipment to deliver customer requirements through completion of the production plan, adhering to quality standards and maximising cost effectiveness, optimal running and equipment efficiency. 
You will be expected to carry out cleaning and inspection activities and record any issues/problems with the equipment to pass to the Technical Operator to resolve.  The Machine Operator should master the operation of a series of machines to provide factory resilience.
Key Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL:
  • Minimum GCSE’s or equivalent in English and Maths at grade C or above
  • Basic mechanical awareness of the principles for factory automation.
  • Can maintain focus and discipline for the task whilst demonstrating good problem solving skills to protect output targets.
  • IT Skills – Competent in the use of Machine data and control systems that record Material Movement, Losses and Quality.  Must also be competent in the use of Microsoft Office; Excel and Word programmes.
     
    PREFERRED / DESIRABLE:
  • Experience as a Machine Operator.
  • Experience of manufacturing in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods Company.
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude to progress onto the Unilever Technical Operator Curriculum (Entry, Developing and Full level).
  • NVQ2 & 3 will be considered for direct entry into Technical Operator Programme

Media Manager

JOB SUMMARY
  • Collaborate with other Unilever functions (ecommerce, shopper, and brand marketing) and external agencies (Mindshare and Resolution) to develop ways of working for Holistic Search, Holistic Planning and Ecommerce Media
  • Embed these ways of working into Unilever’s organisational structure and external agencies
  • Ensure media plans are localised in alignment with the Global Media Strategy and collaborate with agencies to resolve any issues.
  • Advise global/cluster media teams and country marketing teams to develop an appropriate media vision and strategy in the market.
  • Leverage internal and external partners to develop media/channel strategies towards driving brand, category and business growth:

  • Represent the Media Centre of Excellence by:
  • Deploying world class media plans that deliver against brand objective and goals through collaboration with agencies.
  • Demonstrating leadership in innovation initiatives within key strategic growth areas, e.g. mobiles.
  • Drive ROI and best practice by partnering with CMI and third party resources to drive efforts on media optimization.
  • Build effective programmes with Strategic Partners.
  • Support delivery of the overall business/marketing plans against goals set at VP or Director level.
  • Lead development and execution of channel ideas, furthering brand engagement and conversations with consumers.
  • Manage day-to-day and operational issues with channel agency partners, ensuring staff are up-to-date on developments and have the information they need
