Colleague

Reporting to the Territory Manager, our Colleagues main role is to provide assistance and excellent customer service to our customers. As a Colleague, you will need to have excellent communication skills as well as being a good team member. You will enjoy dealing with customers and assisting your colleagues.

Key Skills:

  • As a Colleague, you will ensure the smooth running of the shop, and maintaining the shop standards by:
  • Participating in the day-to-day running of the shop
  • Keeping the shop and displays clean and tidy at all times
  • Operating the till and accurately handling cash, credit/debit cards and gift cards transactions
  • Assist in changing displays of shop stock
  • Receiving deliveries, unpacking and replenishing stock
  • Assisting with regular stock checks and annual stock takes
  • Working in all areas of the store from the shop floor to the warehouse
  • Being vigilant at all times and to help minimise stock loss
  • Answering general customer enquiries in a polite manner
  • Previous retail experience would be an advantage
  • Must be passionate about craft and be able to demonstrate at least one craft to high standard!

Team Leader

Reporting into the Territory Manager, You will be responsible for supporting the Management Team to ensure the profitable and efficient operation of the store. You will have excellent communication skills as well as being a good team worker and will enjoy dealing with customers and assisting your colleagues.

You will be adaptable and be able to react to change in a positive manner.

Key Skills:

  • As a Team Leader, you will ensure the smooth running of the shop, and maintaining the shop standards by:
  • Operating the till and accurately handling cash, credit/debit cards and gift cards transactions
  • Overseeing operation including merchandising, goods in, warehouse operations and duty management
  • Supporting and coaching our new colleagues
  • Co-ordinating the workload of Colleagues
  • Answering customer enquiries in a polite manner
  • Ensuring that any issues concerning customer care are reported to the Territory Manager
  • Ensuring that all Health & Safety procedures are effectively carried out and reporting any concerns to the Territory Manager
  • You must be passionate about craft and be able to demonstrate at least one craft to high standard!
  • A minimum of 1 years previous retail experience is essential (managerial or supervisory roles will be advantageous)

Customer Service Advisor

As a member of the Hobbycraft Customer Service team you will be responsible for providing help and advice to our customers & store colleagues no matter what their query and no matter how they choose to contact us.

You will be helping with a wide variety of customer enquiries including, tracking orders, placing orders, product enquiries, locating their nearest store, dealing with refunds and replacements and helping to resolve general queries.

These enquiries may come via email, telephone, letter, social media and online chat. Therefore, the ability to mutli-task, plan and prioritise your workload in order to offer the highest level of service across all of these channels is essential.

We’re looking for talented, motivated and engaging communicators with a real commitment to delivering first class customer satisfaction and service. You will be an excellent communicator who demonstrates genuine empathy, a professional approach and a can-do attitude.

Requirements:

  • Ability to demonstrate decision making ability with strong attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office experience (primarily Outlook and Excel)
  • Quick learner, with some experience of a range of systems and databases
  • Energetic, proactive and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working for a multi-channel retail business (not essential but preferred)
  • Experience in telephone, email and letter customer communications
  • Experience and an interest in art or craft products
