A vacancy for a Geospatial information projects – Toulouse Team Leader (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse. As the successful candidate you will join the TCIFG3 – “ImInt & GeoInt Projects & Product” department

Our customers are governmental, defence, security and maritime customers (domestic and export). Our geospatial and image intelligence (Geoint / Imint) solutions are made of IT hardware, software and integrated information systems combined with professional services. They provide our worldwide customers with top class capabilities for their daily operations of intelligence, surveillance, data analysis, situation awareness : data servers, data explorers, mapping tools, decision support applications…

This market is promising in terms of growth as well as customer expectation for high end products. Our access to the market is boosted by the recent investments made by Airbus Defence and Space in both new satellites (Pleiades Neo) and digital solutions (analytics on big data).

You will lead the delivery of those solutions to our customers, in a project organisation, with a team of 10 persons based in Toulouse and a project span of control of circa 20 persons in addition.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• The delivery of all commitments taken by the company on Geoint / Imint implementation contracts (external projects as well as work packages of internal projects).
• The management of the portfolio of customer projects and contracts (in acquisition and maintenance) and all key performance indicators with a P&L perspective.
• The management of the customer relationship for all aspects related to the operation of the Geoint/Imint centers installed base.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

• Educated to engineering degree or equivalent.
• More than 10 years of successful experience of team, contract and project management, preferably in the IT domain.
• Project management (PMI and/or internal Airbus certification would be a plus) and roll out of systems combining IT hardware and software.
• Knowledge of imagery and intelligence systems (from operational, technical and market perspectives) would be a plus.
• Competence and experience in team management, especially with multi-site, multi-cultural teams.
• Strong negotiation, integration, forward thinking and leadership skills.

• Negotiation level of English and French.

Extended Entreprise Solution Architect (m/f)

An opportunity for an Extended Enterprise Solution Architect (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Helicopters in Marignane.
The Airbus Helicopters Group embraces the challenges of digitalization.
Today, the Information Management (IM) directorate is contributing to its transformation, which is one of the key company objectives.
The Enterprise Services participate actively to these challenges, providing Extended Enterprise solutions to our partners, Customers Centers and other Airbus Group divisions, enabling them to access to our applications and data from their premises.
Within the IM “Connectivity and Access Management” department, you belong to the Enterprise Services team and are a member of the multifunctional team of the Extended Enterprise Product Service Line.
As Extended Enterprise solution architect, you will have in charge the design and the build of the technical architecture of Extended Enterprise solutions. You will bring your expertise in projects and will integrate Extended Enterprise solutions with strong added value build upon user requirements. You will participate to the Extended Enterprise technological strategy as well as the continuous improvement of the Extended Enterprise infrastructure & services.
At Airbus group level, you will act as the Airbus Helicopters representative in the Airbus Extended Enterprise architecture definition and consolidation.
In this role, you will be at the heart of Airbus transformation, by designing and building key Extended Enterprise solutions with your technical expertise, within an international context.
This position is offered on a local contract only.
Priority will be given to candidates whose position is impacted by a workforce adaptation initiative.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities are the followings:
– To analyze the technological, technical and commercial requirements of the needs,
– To define on a detailed way the technical architecture of the Extended Enterprise solutions and to follow-up their implementation in close collaboration with the production and project teams,
– To integrate and support the technical team during the integration phases, training when necessary the experts on the new technologies.
– To participate to the definition of the technological orientation axes of both infrastructure and services in close relation with the operation and development team,
– You support / contribute to digital initiatives while being a force of proposals,
– You propose innovative solutions to improve scalability and reliability as well as costs optimization in accordance with the Extended Enterprise Services objectives,
– You bring expertise while being involved in projects according to the IMMP (Information Management Master Plan). You take part in Airbus Group consolidation projects as well as Cyber security projects,

Your main interfaces will be:
– IM organization: IM Project Managers, IM Applications & Enterprise Services Operations, IM Hosting services, IM Security departments,
– Airbus Helicopters Customer Centers (22 subsidiaries worldwide),
– All other Airbus divisions,

Required skills

Our Extended Enterprise solutions are based on several technologies and solutions to answer to the end to end business needs. Citrix solution is one of the key technology product enabling our internal and external users to access Airbus applications and ressources.
As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and competencies:
– Master’s degree level (or equivalent) in Information Technology or related field.
– Good knowledge of the overall architecture of the SI.
– Significant experience in IT operational environment ensuring the vision and the integration on the IT landscape.
– Experience in Architecture Design.
– Knowledge of Citrix (Xenapp, xendesktop, netscaler) / virtualization.
– Good knowledge of the current and last emerging servers/storage technologies and market offer (hyperconverged/…).
– Good understanding of Network interconnection solutions will be a plus.
– Experience in working in agile mode and/or DevOps environment
– Attracted and eager to learn on new Cloud technologies (AWS, Google, etc…)
– Good understanding of business requirements, customer service oriented and focus on quality deliverables.
– French negotiation level.
– English negotiation level.

This role will involve some regular travelling in Europe and as such you will need to be able to travel accordingly.
