H&M Interview Questions and Answers

What can you tell us about yourself?

Discuss your interests, previous work experience, and educational background. Maintain brevity and focus in your explanation.
Now is the time to bring up any fashion or customer service experience you may have.
Keep in mind that related experience is more important than anything else.

What do you have to say about H&M?

H&M is a clothing store that sells items for men, women, teenagers, kids, and newborns.
As of November 30th, 2019, there are 4492 stores.
H&M, COS, WEEKDAY, MONKL, H&M Home, & Other Stories, ARKET, and AFOUND are all part of the H&M group.

Why are you interested in working for H&M?

Declare that you want to work in fashion and with people, and that you believe working at H&M will allow you to achieve both.
Let’s pretend you want to work in a fast-paced setting.
Assume you believe H&M provides excellent value to its customers and that you would be delighted to work for them.
Tell them you’d be delighted to work for a company that is so environmentally conscious.

What do you consider to be your most valuable asset?

The easiest method to answer this question is to include your talents and experience that are directly related to the position you are applying for. Review the job description with this in mind, and assure the interviewer that you have the necessary experience and skills.

What do you consider to be your most significant flaw?

You should not deny having a flaw or describe your strengths as flaws (I am a perfectionist, or I work too hard and neglect my friends and family). Consider a flaw that isn’t necessary for the work and include it as a flaw. When you describe your flaw, be sure to include what you’re doing to overcome it. For instance, I am afraid of public speaking and have registered in a public speaking class to help me conquer my anxiety.

How would you handle a disgruntled customer?

I’d figure out what the customer’s problem is. If it was the product, I would offer to replace it (after consulting with your management first). It is critical to keep the customer happy because an angry customer is unlikely to return.
Tip!!! Take a look at H&M’s return policy, since it may be useful in this situation.
If a customer was upset because they couldn’t find a specific product, I would go out of my way to find it for them rather than merely pointing them in the right direction.

In five years, where do you see yourself?

If you’re going to college or university, state what you want to do after you graduate.

Retail management and fashion design are two careers that connect with H&M’s corporate goals.
Why not look at alternative H&M occupations and see what you could be doing in five years?

What makes you the best candidate for the job?

Go over the job description again and look for the abilities and experience that are required for the position.
After that, match the job’s required talents to your own.
Finally, ensure the interviewer that you have the necessary qualifications.

What do you think constitutes outstanding customer service?

Customers can find what they’re looking for.
At the pay register, lines move swiftly.
The customer is welcomed with open arms.

What are your thoughts about standing for extended periods of time?

The majority of retail jobs will demand you to stand for significant periods of time. If at all feasible, inform the interviewer that you have no objections. Maintain proper posture and stay hydrated by wearing comfortable, well-fitting shoes with a low heel.

What are your working hours?

You have a better chance of getting employed if you are flexible with your hours, therefore be flexible!
If at all possible, inform the interviewer that you are available to work on weekends and/or holidays.
