Junior Merchandiser

T.M Lewin are looking for a Junior Merchandiser to join our team.

Our Merchandisers ensure we invest our money in the right places at the right time. They know our customers. They know our products. Most importantly they know what sells. By looking at past and future trends they predict what items will sell best and plan accordingly.

Reporting into the Merchandiser, the Junior Merchandiser works closely within a team of Buyers and Merchandisers and is responsible for planning the lifecycle of product, whilst managing and developing your team to reach your departmental goals.

The key focus for the Junior Merchandiser is to work with the Merchandiser to look after a small department and ensure the creation and delivery of the departmental strategy.

Key responsibilities will include:

Work closely with the Buyer in achieving departmental targets/plans whilst planning and developing for the future
Delivers in conjunction with the Buyer clear range plans
Review and optimise the performance of Core lines
Manages departmental WSSI
Maintaining and improving the flexibility of the supply chain
Manages weekly departmental team meetings and contributes to trade meetings
Ensures all channels are planned and delivered in line with company targets including International and Online.
Provides and reviews analysis to support commercial decisions
Identify system amendments, enhancements and developments to improve business process and enhance change

Senior Sales Consultant or Supervisor

  • Supporting the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager by personally providing and ensuring the team deliver a consistent and exceptional standard of customer service in the store and deputising effectively in their absence in all areas of the role.
  • Greet customers immediately upon entry in a polite and courteous manner and to maintain contact
  • Engage with the customer in order to fully understand their needs and then provide the appropriate help and support to ensure a pleasurable customer experience.
  • Develop excellent knowledge of the full range of products and unique selling points in order to promote product benefits to customers.
  • Provide advice and guidance to customers on clothing and accessory range, best fit and measuring services ensuring their needs are fully met.
  • Always check to see if there is anything else the customer may need, making suggestions for complimentary purchases e.g. buying a suitable tie with a shirt, or cufflinks as appropriate.
